Competition is King

Overall, a lack of competition is a bad thing. This is because most players are buyers as well as sellers. On small population servers where I’m a net buyer of an item – say ore – the lack of competition may be a bad thing for me if one or two player control the market and may well collude to keep the prices jacked up (doesn’t happen in the real world, right?). The best thing to do if you’re a seller of an item with high competition is to try to avoid it and in various other articles I’ve explained how to do this.

The Cross-Server Economy

Which brings me to the possibility of a cross-server Auction House. From the above discussion, I think it’s clear that a cross-server Auction House should result in a bigger and more stable Warcraft economy. Not only would markets experience greater liquidity but be less prone to player manipulation. How many time have you heard a player boast on a blog or Twitter that they have ‘reset’ the market for a particular item? Yes, competition would increase across many markets, but those players that learn to master the Auction House Secrets should come out ahead.

Golden Lotus: wow gold making 5.1

After 5.1 nerfing the exchange of Spirit of Harmony to Golden Lotus, many people were up in the air about what seed to plant at their Tiller's farm, and you may have recently read that Enigma Seeds (which produce herbs) got a stealth-buff, possibly the better alternative for providing Golden Lotus.

My Findings
I have been planting Enigma Seeds over the past 10 days or so, and every day so far I have gotten 4-6 Golden Lotus each day.   On top of that, the other plots that aren't Lotuses are other herbs that I send off to my Scribe to mill into pigments.  Below is a screenshot of my normal yield:

So not only do you get the 4-6 Golden Lotus, you get other herbs on top of that.  When you plantSongbell Seeds on the other hand, you get 1.6 Spirits which turns into 3.2 Golden Lotus.  So 4 Golden Lotus alone and you'd be better off.  Add to that the other herbs and you're much better planting other seeds.  On some servers vegetables may be the way to go, but the price per Golden Lotus (on average across servers) is currently: 113g 52s, which with the addition of the other herbs are worth more than vegetables (at 5-7 per plot). 

If you haven't yet began grinding Tillers rep, now is certainly still a good time.  The rep is a decent grind, and as far as gold making is concerned, is by far your best rep (minus the profession specific grinds).  Cooking is also doing (semi) well for me currently, don't forget the Ironpaw Exchange!!

Meat farming 2.0: wow gold making 5.1

with preparing for raids we all know that farming all kind of meat can be annoying as hell. while fishing itself is, thanks to Crawlerbots crew, super easy, for meat we have to care our self. Therefore i made some small profiles for our meat supply!

I use all profiles myself and have good results in meat and also for Motes of Harmony!

I farm this with a mostly blue plate tank and had no problems with adding a pat or more then one mob.

All Profiles in Dread Wastes are obviously pushed through the Klaxxi Buffs  

Remember, most mobs are lvl 90 and so have ~500k hp.

(if you have problems with your char behavior remember that these profiles have nothing to do with the CC you use and therefore DONT ask why your char is doing this or that...)

Mushan Ribs - Dread Wastes

only few adds through pats and fleeing mobs.

including MobIDs for turtles and crabs, some adds through pats, but no big deal.

As expansions start to grow older, materials from those expansions become more and more rare.   After the surpluses of materials such as Netherweave cloth and illusion dust have been burnt through by crafters,  these items start to get a little bit more expensive.

Everyone knows that now the daily quests from MOP is very boring now, and farming could even earn more gold, So, why don't we try to solo and farm gold from the low level dungeons, if you are luck enough, the legendary weapon is not the dream.

As a gold goblin, the words expensive can generally be turned into our favor.  Soloing dungeons in Burning Crusade or in Wrath of the Lich King areas are continuing to be profitable. 3-4 drops of green items for the non enchanter and cloth drops can add a hefty sum of profit. Having a tailor available to make bags brings the profit margin even higher.

Most level 85+ toons can blow through Burning Crusade and Lich King dungeons without the need to slow down. Classes with AOE attacks can make short work of these dungeons. With the simplicity of group looting available looking large amounts of mobs takes a few seconds, where before it took minutes to look for the sparkles on dead bodies.

So in your weekly search for materials,  plan a few old school runs for materials and get a jump start on your crafting profits.  And while your at it,  enjoy a few gloats of dominance over the bosses that gave you the biggest headaches.

The Netherweave Bags- wow gold making in 5.1

Today, the wow gold making point is in this:Netherweave Bags, with the expansion of Pandaria, lots of new character is leveling up, the Netherweave Bags is even facing out of stock, what we will do is not raise the pirce of it, but making enough gold from making it.

The farming point is the Path of Conquest in Shadowmoon Valley, Outland. Path of Conquest is found between Eclipse point and Sanctum of the Stars, not too far away from the Dragonmaw dailies.

This area is quite large, and filled with level 70 Eclipsion blood elves. It takes about 4-10 minutes to kill them all, depending on your play style and level. By the time you have killed them all, more have respawned and you can start from the beginning again. With AOE looting this place is a paradise for any gold farmer!
Keep in mind that cross realm zones may give you competition, although only people you will see killing these mobs is people questing in the area, or if you're unlucky, someone who has read this gold tip too! 
Now loot is completely random, but here is what I found in 6 minutes of farming these:

• 24 gold from coin drops
• 139 x Netherweave Cloth
• 4 greenies (Arcane Dust & Greater Planar Essences)
• 52 x  Sunfury Signet
• 3 x  Arcane Tome
• Greys, pots and other junk that vendored for 11g

After this I turned the netherweave cloth into Netherweave Bags with tailoring and disenchanted the greenies with enchanting. 139 Netherweave Cloth equals 6 Netherweave Bags. These sell very fast always, as they are the cheapest to make and have 16 slots too.

This means it's very efficient to farm here even for hours. Only Scryer reputation items take longer to sell, but the bigger the stack goes, the more interested someone will be in buying them. Don''t look down the Arcane Tome and Sunfury Signet, it may sell great if you are luckly enough.

Farm skyguard reputation items: for wow gold making in 5.

Farming reputation in order to get rare mounts or other goodies is always a pain. Sometimes there's gold to be made easing this pain by selling items that give reputation to the faction in question. Last method focused on selling items to get one exalted with Sporeggar, today we're focusing on Sha'tari Skyguard. At exalted people gain access to many flying mounts, such as  Purple Riding Nether Ray and  Nether Ray Fry companion pet. 

Your best income will come from  Shadow Dust, an item that is used in a repeatable quest. This is dropped by every arakkoa in Skettis, Terokkar Forest. It's roughly a 45% drop chance. Monsters in here are level 70 and you need to have a flying mount to reach this place.A good way to farm these is to land on the arakkoa platforms, do the small circle around them so you can gather all the nearby mobs and then aoe them to death. This takes a few seconds and then you can proceed to the next platform. Once the platforms are cleared, there's more arakkoa on the ground everywhere in Skettis. There is no point killing these individually. Do as big pulls as you can.It's up to you how much you charge per Shadow Dust. I usually sell them in stacks of 100-500, usually 10-20g per dust.

You can turn in 6 x  Shadow Dust to one of the Sha'tari Skyguard quest npcs in Skettis. This quest in turn gives you an  Elixir of Shadows, which when consumed, allows you to see even more mobs in Skettis.

These new undead arakkoa have a 55% ish chance of dropping  Time-Lost Scrolls. These will be your second best source for gold. These sell for a little bit less than Shadow Dusts from my experience, but make a nice chunk of gold nonetheless, if sold in large stacks.
Using these Time-Lost Scrolls in the skull piles around Skettis summon up mobs that drop quest items that eventually give you a  Time-Lost Offering, which also can be sold. However, people prefer to buy Time-Lost Scrolls instead, as the quest npcs used to summon with these give a nice chunk of reputation too.


If you just dump your scrolls and dust into the auction house, they will most likely rot there for quite a while before a buyer is found. I've found out that selling these in the trade chat is an excellent way to give visibility to them, find a buyer fast and last but not least, it's also a decent leap towards the gold limit if your prices are high! People are paying 999k for mounts in the BMAH, so they are willing to spend gold to avoid long grinds

With the coming out of patch 5.1, lots of new game element waited us to dig, but some of them need maybe lots of wow gold, such as Underground fighting, how to make wow gold in the new patch has been such a limit to the ordinary players, today, I'll show you how to earn big with low-grade fishing.

Some fishes are extremely valuable, especially the lower level ones that are needed by cooks and alchemists. Today's post focuses on the best of them, Deviate Fish. This one is mainly for horde lowbies. Alliance can make even more gold though, but a higher level character is recommended.

Tested and approved by a poor, almost naked level 20 character that went fishing for 1.5 hours, and eventually sold the catch for 2490 gold, 30 silver and 73 coppers! Also known as too much gold, unless you like saving or investing.

Fishing? Yes, just need fishing!

Deviate fish can be fished up in Barrens and Wailing Caverns. But to get the most fishes/hour, you should circle around the pools in Barrens and cast your line only if you see a Deviate Fish school. There's three pools of water in Northern Barrens and each can contain a few Deviate Fish schools.

You're usually the only one fishing these so there shouldn't be any competition except during peak hours, but even so, the schools respawn  fast and can make lots of gold for you in a very little time.

Flying mount is extremely helpful, but if you do this with a lowbie, the running cuts the profits a bit.

Still, you can get even 5000g in a few hours, or at least when they've all sold! Not many have gold for their epic flying mount at level 20, why not be one of the few! 

Barrens being on horde territory, these should sell for even more on the Alliance side!
