Professions are getting some significant changes in Patch 5.2.- Archaeology: A new archaeology race has been added. There are 10 new Mantid solves and 17 new achievements.
- Blacksmithing: Blacksmiths have an alternative way to level from 1-525 via Ghost Iron and can craft new weapons resembling Burning Crusade models, such as Fireguard, Reborn, for transmogrification. There are also new recipes, learned via discovery from (Spell #138646), for ilvl 458 PvP gear and ilvl 522 epics[/b]. Items involving Lightning Steel cannot be acquired until your server has unlocked the Thunder Forges.
- Fishing: New battle pets have been added, as well as Fish of the Day daily events, in which players are sent to one of nine areas teeming with fish and various Angler NPCs for flavor. Playres can fish up a sea monster from an especially large pool which can drop (Item #88563).
- Jewelcrafting: (Item #95470) and (Item #95471) are new world drops.
- Leatherworking: (Item #95467) and (Item #95468) are new world drops. When crafting them, you have a chance to learn the recipe for a new ilvl 458 PvP gear or ilvl 522 epic item. There is also a new Leatherworking bag.
- Tailoring: (Spell #125557) now has a chance for Tailors to learn an ilvl 458 PvP gear or ilvl 522 epic recipe.
